Bach to Rock Opens a Real Music School on Peachtree Industrial in Duluth
Bach to Rock opened a full-service music school at 3455 Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Duluth this summer, then had the City of Duluth out for an official ribbon cutting in September. Here's what it teaches, who runs it, and why it's worth knowing for Gwinnett families.

Bach to Rock, a national performance-based music school franchise, opened its Duluth location at 3455 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Suite 810, with a free grand opening celebration on August 1. The City of Duluth made it official with a ribbon cutting on September 9 -- Mayor Greg Whitlock and the city council showed up, which is a reasonable sign the city sees it as more than another strip-mall tenant. The school is owned by Kelly Willyard and Steve Gasper, a husband-and-wife team who also have their two kids, Alexis and Hudson, working in the business. It's a first location for them, not an absentee franchise group running it from somewhere else.
What's actually taught is broader than a typical lesson studio. Private instruction covers piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, voice, brass, strings, woodwinds and songwriting, alongside group options like Join a Band and Glee Club for kids who want to perform rather than just practice. There's a full early-childhood track too -- Rock and Roll for toddlers, Rock City for preschoolers, Kids n Keys beginning piano for grades K-2 -- plus camps and birthday parties. The one genuinely distinctive piece is Beat Refinery, the school's DJ-training program, which Bach to Rock's corporate materials describe as the largest Serato-certified DJ school in the country. That's the company's own claim about its national program, not something I verified locally, but it's a real, specific offering you won't find at a standard piano-lessons storefront.
Hours are Monday through Friday noon to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday by appointment -- worth knowing if you're picturing this as an after-school stop, because it doesn't open until noon on weekdays. The studio is in the same Peachtree Industrial corridor retail strip as several other service businesses, with its own parking, a few minutes off Pleasant Hill Road.
This is the kind of thing that matters more to a buyer with school-age kids than it does to the market in general. Bach to Rock's own service area for this location covers Duluth plus Suwanee, Johns Creek, Sugar Hill, Norcross and Peachtree Corners, which is a useful way to think about it if you're weighing those neighborhoods against each other for a family that wants music lessons, a kids' band program or a DJ class within a reasonable drive, not a 45-minute haul up to a Johns Creek-only option. It's a small thing on a listing sheet, but it's exactly the kind of detail that tells a relocating family what day-to-day life actually looks like in a neighborhood, versus just the school ratings and commute time.
If you've got a client looking in that stretch of Gwinnett with kids who play an instrument or want to, it's worth a one-line mention and a link to the Duluth page. Pricing isn't posted -- Bach to Rock directs people to call the studio directly at 770-670-6692 for lesson rates, which change by instructor and format, so don't quote a client a number without checking first.
